Dr. Makaremi will be sharing time between the CAM and her work as Director of the IQ Microscopy core. Her graduate research mainly focused on tracking membrane proteins in live cells using advanced fluorescence microscopy techniques including Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy and Single Molecule Tracking. Before joining MSU, she was an Associate Editor at Wiley, working with the editorial team of Advanced Materials Interfaces and Small Science. She also served as Editor for Microscopy Society of Canada for several years. She has coauthored a book titled “Fluorescent Microscopy,” published by Methods in Molecular Biology (volume 2440).
